I’m Helen Davis, and I’m here to teach you the skills you need to become an active participant in – rather than a passive observer of – your own healing.

We all have an innate ability to heal – physically, mentally and emotionally – and when we start really listening to what our body and our feelings are trying to tell us, we begin a process of transformation that can affect every aspect of our life and every level of our being.

Sound good?

Of course, as with everything in life, we can only do this one step at a time.

Sometimes your step may be metaphorical – a transformative shift in perception, experienced from the safety of the hypnotherapy chair.

Sometimes we will literally be stepping forward together, rediscovering the ease and joy of natural movement and elegantly aligned posture through the practical and enjoyable functional movement programme I teach.

Sometimes ‘one small step’ is all that’s possible – or indeed needed – today… at other times you find (perhaps to your own surprise) that you’re ready for a ‘giant leap’!

And sometimes you may feel you’re taking a sideways step, as you remind yourself of the importance of making space simply to stop, rest and allow healing to take place.

My promise is that I will meet you where you are today and help you find your own path to wherever you choose to see yourself in the future.

And it all starts with making space.

In your life, in your body, in your mind.

Because where there’s space, there’s healing.

A bit about me

I’m Helen Davis, founder of One Step Forward.

My life changed dramatically in 2012 when I experienced first hand the reality of burnout and chronic illness – and the healing power of hypnotherapy and slow yoga.

A decade later and another health crisis – breaking both wrists and subsequently being diagnosed with osteoporosis at just 56 – led me to Bones for Life and expanded my understanding of functional movement.

I’m now passionate about sharing what I’ve learned to help others make the changes they need to make, to create the life they long to live.

From my base in Petersfield, close to the Hampshire/West Sussex border, in the heart of the South Downs, I help people learn to become an active participant in their own healing – physically, mentally and emotionally.
