I’m Helen Davis, and I’m here to teach you the skills you need to become an active participant in – rather than a passive observer of – your own healing.

We all have an innate ability to heal – physically, mentally and emotionally. Think about when you cut your finger, for example: all you can do is provide the conditions for healing – the body does the rest.

When we learn to really listen to the wisdom of our body and what it is trying to tell us, we begin a process of transformation that can affect every aspect of our life and every level of our being.

Sound good?

Of course, as with everything in life, we can only do this one step at a time.

Sometimes your step may be metaphorical – a transformative shift in perception, experienced from the safety of the hypnotherapy chair.

Sometimes we will literally be stepping forward together, rediscovering the ease and joy of natural movement and elegantly aligned posture through the practical and enjoyable functional movement programme I teach.

Sometimes ‘one small step’ is all that’s possible – or indeed needed – today… at other times you find (perhaps to your own surprise) that you’re ready for a ‘giant leap’!

And sometimes you may even feel you’re taking a step sideways, as you remind yourself of the importance of stopping, resting and allowing healing to take place.

My promise is that I will meet you where you are today and help you find your own path to wherever you choose to see yourself in the future.

And it all starts with making space.

In your life, in your body, in your mind.

Because where there’s space, there’s healing.

A bit about me

I’m Helen Davis, founder of One Step Forward.

From my base in Petersfield, close to the Hampshire/West Sussex border, in the heart of the South Downs, I help people learn to become an active participant in their own healing – physically, mentally and emotionally.

My path to this work wasn’t straightforward – it took burnout, chronic fatigue, two broken wrists (at the same time!) and an osteoporosis diagnosis to get me here. But everything I’ve been through has shaped what I do and how I do it. [Read my full story here]
