What’s in a name?
When I launched Blended Therapy in May 2017, the name reflected my desire to combine the benefits of yoga and hypnotherapy into a unique therapeutic approach that would help my clients create lasting change physically and emotionally.
Fast forward to Spring 2021. After a year in which I, like millions of others, spent more time alone – and more time connecting with people virtually – than ever before, I found I had gained a deeper understanding of exactly what I’m here to do.
I’m here to help each and every person who works with me to take the one step forward that will help them, today.
And so, Blended Therapy has become One Step Forward.
Sometimes I will literally be stepping forward alongside you – on the yoga mat or walking and talking in the countryside. Sometimes your step may be metaphorical – a transformative shift in perception, experienced from the safety of the hypnotherapy chair.
Sometimes ‘one small step’ is all that’s needed – or indeed possible – today… at other times you find you’re ready for a ‘giant leap’!
Whatever the one step forward you take with me today, it will be something that helps you to make space: physically, mentally and/or emotionally. Because where there’s space, there’s healing.

You may continue to see the Blended Therapy name and logo around for a little longer in some places. Rest assured that whatever the branding you’ll find the same caring, compassionate and down-to-earth approach when you choose to work with me!

I’m Helen Davis, founder of One Step Forward (formerly Blended Therapy). After 20 years as a successful business analyst, a diagnosis of ME/CFS in 2012 led to a major reassessment of my priorities and the realisation that the time had come for a complete change of direction. From my base in Petersfield, close to the Hampshire/West Sussex border, in the heart of the South Downs, I help people do what they need to do to make space – physically, mentally and emotionally.
Because where there’s space, there’s healing.
