Testimonials – Hypnosis for fears & phobias

Helen worked wonders with me over the last few months unpicking and helping me manage a longstanding issue with distance and motorway driving.
Going in I didn’t know what to expect but Helen’s approach is so caring and supportive and I felt secure and in control at all times. She takes the time to really understand the issues and explore underlying triggers, etc, as part of each session, which she then used to tailor the hypnotherapy work to be meaningful. The results were amazing and I would highly recommend her for any fears, phobias, anxiety triggers.

Helen really took the time to understand the issues that were stopping me from learning to swim, despite spending a fortune on lessons over several decades. The results were amazing! She is very perceptive, highly intuitive and a very kind person.

I didn’t think that hypnotherapy could possibly help me. I had had a fear of needles, hospitals, dentists, even opticians (basically anything remotely medical) for my entire life and I just thought that was the way it was. At 59, and being diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, I realised that trips to the hospital with the various procedures necessary were unfortunately going to become part of my life for the next few months. To say that I was anxious was an understatement. It was suggested that I might contact Helen to help.
After 3 sessions with her (and listening to the personalised recordings that she provided me with), I’m not saying I look forward to my hospital visits but I no longer have all those awful feelings of dread and panic that I used to have. I feel calm, prepared and ready to take each visit literally one step at a time.
This sounds slightly odd, but she has literally changed my life. I just wish I had done this 40 years ago – it would have save a lot of angst.

I had been under a significant amount of stress and was struggling to cope with the emotional and physical toll it was taking. When working with Helen I always felt safe and at ease, knowing that we were actively working together and making progress. I left each session feeling better than when I arrived. Now I feel calmer, more confident and like I have control over my life again. I can identify moments and causes of stress and manage them using the tools Helen shared with me. It has been a transformative journey, and I am so grateful to have worked with her.

Hypnosis for surgery was something I had never heard of or considered but with Helen being a client of mine I was intrigued.

In 2023 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour which was really difficult to deal with being a mum, wife and running a business. To make it more worrying the tumour was attached to my optic nerve and had the potential to take my sight. I found the best surgeon and decided to have the risky surgery in April 2024 to give me the best chance of retaining my sight and to try to prevent any other symptoms to add to the tremor I already had.

The closer it got to my surgery I was doing all of the practical things, getting family things organised, making sure everything in my business was delegated.
But I realised I had forgotten to think about my wellbeing, my mindset and I hadn’t taken the time to feel into my feelings and think about how I really felt. Then came the realisation that I was terrified. What if it went wrong? What if I didn’t feel like myself again after the operation? What if something happened to my sign and I couldn’t watch my daughter go to her prom or my son play football?

So I reached out to Helen. Straight away she listened, I felt comfortable, heard, seen and understood. Helen really put me at ease and explained how the hypnosis worked and how it could help. I had one session a few days prior to my surgery which really helped and Helen sent me recordings to listen to during my recovery. Helen was amazing in helping me prepare for and get through my surgery. The recovery was hard following the 8 hour operation through my nose and coming round I realised I couldn’t breathe through my nose which made me feel really panicky. Listening to Helen’s recordings really helped me through that difficult time.

I would definitely recommend speaking with Helen and having hypnosis for surgery. The only thing I regret is waiting till it was so close to my surgery date. I would advise preparing much sooner. Thank you Helen for your support, I can’t express how much you helped me.
